Benjamin Tanimu reveals motive behind Crawley Town move

Crawley Town's newly acquired defender, Benjamin Tanimu has revealed his motive behind joining the club despite having numerous offers across Africa before deciding to opt for the English team, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

"I'm very happy to be here because to be here because when playing at a very young age, we all watch the English Premier League so coming to England, it's a big start for me and I'm very happy to join Crawley Town", he said in his first words in an interview with the club media.

"Coming to England is a great opportunity for me because I'm here to show what I have as an individual and I'm also here to help Crawley Town gain promotion to the higher league. It came as a shock because I wasn't expecting to come to England. I had offers across Africa but hearing that Crawley need my assistance, I said why not and jumped in".

On his characteristics as a player, "I am a player that's ready to learn and I keep working hard to bring out my best and also I like winning, that's very important", the Super Eagles defender revealed.

Speaking about the fans and how excited he is to meet them, he said, "I'm joining a new family so I would do my best for the fans to love me and make me one of them".
