Ibrahim Maza’s emergence at Bayer Leverkusen has attracted growing interest from several of Europe’s leading clubs, with Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United among those monitoring the 20-year-old Algeria international.

The attacking midfielder’s performances have increasingly drawn attention in the Premier League. According to Fussball-News, Atletico de Madrid are also following Maza’s progress in Spain.

Manchester City, who were already interested several months ago in a development first reported exclusively by Africafoot, and Atletico are reported to have contacted the player’s representatives. The two clubs are seeking to remain informed about Maza’s situation and continued development.

Leverkusen are under no immediate pressure to sell. Maza’s contract with the German club runs until 30 June 2030, giving the club a strong negotiating position and allowing it to decide the midfielder’s future on its own terms.

The Bayer are not currently expected to consider an immediate departure. However, any club wishing to test Leverkusen’s resolve would need to make a substantial financial commitment.

Fussball-News reports that Leverkusen would only be prepared to examine an offer starting at between €65m and €70m. That valuation could discourage some of Maza’s suitors, although Manchester City and Atletico continue to follow the situation closely.

The figure is significantly higher than Maza’s current valuation on Transfermarkt, which stands at €45m. The difference reflects the importance Leverkusen place on the player and the length of the contract tying him to the club.

Maza’s next opportunity to continue making an impression will come when Bayer Leverkusen face RB Leipzig in their fourth Bundesliga match of the season.

The odds listed for the game are 1.90 for a Bayer Leverkusen win, 4.00 for a draw and 3.20 for a victory by RB Leipzig.
