Bay FC confirm Asisat Oshoala's continuity

Bay FC have confirmed that Super Falcons forward Asisat Oshoala has been retained for the 2025 National Women Soccer League (NWSL) season alongside her African compatriot in Racheal Kundananji, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The lethal striker who joined following her exit from Barcelona Femeni leads the list of 24 other players retained as the club announced the initial roster moves ahead of the 2025 campaign after featuring on its inaugural roster in 2024.

Oshoala who scored Bay FC's first ever NWSL goal was in the middle of action as the club fought until the end of the regular season to clinch their spot as they advanced to the 2024 playoffs. After defeating Houston Dash in Houston on November 2nd, Bay FC not only secured their spot but also ended up in seventh place in the league standings.

Bay FC recorded 11 wins- 6 on the road- breaking the most wins in a regular season by an expansion team in league history. The club also recorded 31 regular season goals, the second most by an expansion team.
