Gareth Bale and Harry Kane scored as Tottenham Hotspur secured a place in the Carabao Cup semifinals with a 3-1 win at Stoke City on Wednesday.

Bale's score gave Jose Mourinho's side an early lead in the 22nd minute when his header off Harry Winks' service trickled in past keeper Andy Lonergan.
The Championship side equalised the affair minutes after half-time when Jordan Thompson raced past Eric Dier and fired a shot past Hugo Lloris to find the back of the net.
But Spurs answered back in the 70th minute when Ben Davies pounced on a loose ball and drilled it past Lonergan.

Kane sealed the win in the 81st minute with an emphatic strike to the top of the net for his 10th career goal against Stoke.
