Awoniyi celebrates Forest's survival

Taiwo Awoniyi, Super Eagles striker on Monday took to his Facebook page to celebrate Nottingham Forest's Premier League survival, Nigeriasoccernet.com gathered.

The Nigerian International missed a couple of games on the sidelines for the Reds this season and even missed out of the African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast due to injury but return at the latter stage of the season in a bid to help his club maintain their Premier League status.

In 19 appearances this season most of which are from the bench, taiwo Awoniyi recorded 6 goals and 3 assists for Nuno Espirito Santo's side.

Having missed out on the African Cup of Nations, Awoniyi is expected to make his return to the Super Eagles for next month's World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin Republic.
