Atalanta director, Tony D'Amico has confirmed that the club will make a decision on Ademola Lookman's future at the end of the summer transfer window, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The Nigeria international submitted a transfer request earlier this month and absconded from training in a bid to join Inter Milan.
However, Inter pulled out of the deal after failing to meet Atalanta's €50 million valuation.
"We are sorry for everyone, but right now this is the situation. We'll make assessments at the end of the transfer window. As of today, there's disappointment," D'Amico said.
Lookman has since returned to Atalanta's training centre and is expected to face heavy sanctions for his actions.
The development comes after Lookman was dropped from Atalanta's squad for their opening match of the season against Pisa.
The club's decision on his future will likely have significant implications for the player's career.
