Serie A side Atalanta is reportedly keen to retain winger Ademola Lookman until the end of the season despite growing interest from Turkish Super Lig side Fenerbahce, reports Nigeriasoccernet.com.
Fenerbahçe is said to be ready to propose a €5 million loan for the remainder of the campaign, with an obligation to buy at €37 million. The Turkish club is also offering Lookman a salary exceeding €9 million per season, including potential add-ons.
However, Atalanta have made it clear that they will only sanction a permanent transfer for €40 million or more, according to Calciomercato.com.
Lookman has contributed three goals in 16 appearances across all competitions for La Dea this season. On the international stage, the 28-year-old Nigerian winger has been influential at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, scoring three goals and providing five assists for the Super Eagles.
Atalanta’s decision will likely weigh the value of retaining their key attacking asset versus the financial incentive of the reported Fenerbahce offer.
