The Jeddah-based club confirmed the agreement in a statement on their official platforms, declaring: "Ashley Palmer continues with the Brigadier until 2028."

Plumptre joined Al Ittihad following her departure from English side Leicester City and has since established herself as one of the club's most important players through her consistent displays, versatility and leadership in defence.

Her contract renewal provides a major boost for Al Ittihad as they continue building a squad capable of challenging for honours in the Saudi Women's Premier League.

The 27-year-old, however, is set to miss the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco after being sidelined by injury, dealing a significant blow to the Super Falcons ahead of the continental tournament.
