Asante Kotoko head coach David Duncan was left disappointed with his side’s lack of cutting edge despite retuning to winning ways against AshGold in the league.
A 27th minute header from winger Frank Sarfo Gyamfi was enough to give the Porcupine warriors all three points against league leaders Ashanti Gold.
With the win bringing an end to a run of three games without a victory both in the league and Elite cup competition.
Coach David Duncan could not hide his frustration in his side’s wastefulness.
“Its missed chances like this that have characterized our season and that is why we are where we are on the league table,’’ Duncan told Supersports after the game
‘’We create all the chances but we can’t put the ball at the back of the net which is not very good.
“We will revel in this victory and start preparations for the Hearts of Oak game.”
The win has taken Kotoko to 11th on the league table with 32 points from 24 games whiles AshGold just hold on to top place with 41 points having played the same number of games.
