Arsenal have made extending Martin Ødegaard’s contract their main priority after being encouraged by the midfielder’s form, according to Teamtalk.
The Norway international, who is also the club captain, has a contract with the London club until the end of June 2028.
The 27-year-old’s current market value is estimated at 80m euros, but Arsenal are keen to secure his future with a new agreement.
Ødegaard has made six appearances in the English Premier League this season, scoring two goals and receiving one yellow card.
The midfielder has established himself as a key figure for Arsenal, with the club’s hierarchy satisfied with his performances and leadership.
