Management committee chairman Wilfred Osei believes Argentina will be Ghana’s biggest threat at the FIFA U20 World Cup.
The Black Satellites will be facing the South Americans in the same group as Austria and Panama.
Ghana, historic winners of the U20 World Cup in 2009 are expected to progress from this group.
And even though the team’s management committee chief Wilfred Osei is adamant the side will not underrate any 0f the team’s in the group, he identified Argentina as the biggest threat.
“We’ve analyzed them from afar. We’ve profiled the respective teams,” he said.
“We know definitely that our biggest challenge will be Argentina because at any youth tournament, those countries from Latin America represent a very formidable force.
“So having Argentina in our group, we know they will be our biggest challenge. Mind you, it’s our second game.
“We are not underrating the other nations because if you look at Austria, they are operating the kind of policies that Switzerland are doing.
“They tend to have the ‘United Nations’ approach – they take talents from other countries that will be of good use to them and develop them.
“Being mindful of that, we know they are of the bulk of such players with the Man City team and definitely, would be tough customers.
“Panama is also a place where football is highly developed so we need to respect them.”
