Anthony Ujah joins Bulgarian Club

33-year old striker, Anthony Ujah has joined Bulgarian Cup winners, Botev Plovdiv as a free agent, following his departure from Eintracht Braunschweig, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Bulgarian Club FC announced the signing of Ujah Anthony on Thursday from the Bundesliga side as its fourth signing.

"We are delighted to welcome Anthony Uja to Botev (Plovdiv). He brings with him a wealth of experience from the top levels of German football, boasting matches in both the Bundesliga and Second Bundesliga on his calling card. His proven football qualities and his ability to score will certainly help us to improve," said Botev's sporting director Artur Platek.

"We are confident that Anthony will help us with his goals and perform at a top level. We also know that his experience will be invaluable to us off the field as well. Together with Ivelin Popov, he will guide the youngsters and share his knowledge so that they can better understand what is required in the best championships in Europe. We look forward to seeing his contributions both on and off the field. We are thrilled.”

The 33-year-old striker has an impressive career in Germany with the teams of Mainz, Cologne, Werder Bremen, Union Berlin and Eintracht Braunschweig scoring 37 matches in 250 matches.

Ujah who played for Warri Wolves also played for the Nigeria national team seven times. He also played for China's Liaoning and Norwegian Lilleström,
