President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick has apologized to fans of the Super Eagles after the failure of the team to qualify for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.

Nigeria fell 1-0 to Egypt in the reverse fixture of the qualifiers, on Tuesday, to end any hope of the three-time African champions returning to the continental show piece in Gabon.
In an exclusive chat with footballlive.ng, Pinnick apologized for the outcome of the qualifiers, on behalf of the FA and players of the team.

The FA President equally praised the performance of the team in the two-legged tie and endorsed the supposed comparisons of the current squad to the class of 1994; that won the Afcon title and also debuted at the FIFA World Cup.
