Ahmed Musa looks set to lead the Super Eagles attack in the absence of injured Odion Ighalo with Chippa United’s Daniel Akpeyi also set to start against South Africa Saturday.

The Al Nassr of Saudi Arabia star led the Eagles frontline in a must-win World Cup group game against Iceland in Russia and delivered two well-taken goals.

It was gathered from sources that going by today’s closed-door training in Asaba Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze is also pushing for his Eagles debut in Johannesburg.

Late arrival Samuel Kalu trained with the rest of the squad after he was the only absentee yesterday.

In the two-a-side game, what looked very much like the second team, where Olamilekan Adeleye asserted himself in defense, outscored the team who will start against Bafana Bafana to underline the strength in depth in the squad
