Peseiro led boys recorded emphatic 12-0 victory on Sunday against a local team in Abu Dhabi with Ademola Lookmam scoring four of the 12. They faced Guinea on Monday and lost 0-2 with goals from Aguibou Camara in the 15th minute and Facinet Conte scoring the second in the 65th minute

Peseiro in an interview with Super Eagles Media Officer, Babafemi Raji stated that he refused to use Staring XI throughout the game.

"We tested our new system today, 3-4-3. The first half ended 1-0 against Super Eagles but we deserved more because we got a clear chance, we had penalties on two or three occasions and the one we got we lost. We have a great first half.

"It's not easy playing with a fast team with good counter attack system, we lost the balance in the midfield and then changed to 4-3-3 after which they got three or four goal scoring chances from which they scored second goal

"We didn't play with first eleven and that made the second half worse. I love to win than lose a match but it's better to make mistakes here than at the AFCON finals." He concluded.

The three times African champions will jet out of Nigeria for Cote D'Ivoire today 10th January, 2024, the venue of the 2023 African Nations Cup.
