The Portuguese tactician spoke in the prematch conference ahead of the game in Abidjan stating that the match is going to a 50-50 affair.

“In my opinion, It’s a 50-50 chance for both of us. We start the game at 0-0 but I believe in my team and the capability of all my players.”

Peseiro showed no disrespect to his opponents as he highlighted the strength of a team that he says is not big in Africa, but plays well.

"Angola is not a big name in Africa, but they have been playing very well, they are doing very well. They have shown capacity although lucky, but they have shown capacity for each game.

They want to win of course, but I don't think they want it more than us." He said.

Speaking on his game plan, Peseiro said: "We want to prevent Angola from scoring goals tomorrow but that doesn’t mean we won’t keep to play our way and style of football. We create more chances and that’s good for our team but we must be very careful against a side like Angola.”

The Super Eagles of Nigeria and the Palancas Negras of Angola go head to head in the last 8 clash at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium Abidjan on Friday February 2.
