Ghana winger Solomon Asante, has assured Ghanaians that there is a genuine desire from the playing body to be in the finals.
The Black Stars are aiming to make their first AFCON finals since 2010 when they take on tournament host Equatorial Guinea today.
Ghana is sweating on the fitness of skipper Asamoah Gyan who is racing against time to be fit of for the game after picking up a suspected groin injury in the quarter final game against Guinea.
Ghana has reached the semi-final stage in the last four edition but have made the finals on just one occasion in 2010, but Asante says there is a genuine determination from the players to reach the finals this time around.
“We are all determined to reach the finals of the competition. The work is not done yet and that is why we are calling for the support of every one,” The TP Mazembe stars told Ghanasoccernet.com
“We all understand that it’s important we get to the finals of the competition and that is where the concentration is.”
