Muscat: Persepolis of Islamic Republic of Iran have it all to do when they attempt to reverse a giant 4-0 first leg deficit against Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal in Tuesday’s second leg of their 2017 AFC Champions League semi-final.

Fans of both sides shared their views, predictions and hopes ahead of the encounter in Oman.

Ibrahim Al Faryan, @ibra_alfrayan; Al Hilal Fan

Q: Can Persepolis still turn this around or is the tie already over?

A: Of course, they still have a chance. This is football and there is still 90 minutes to be played, but with determination and hardwork, Al Hilal can at least get a
draw to progress to the final.

Q: Should Al Hilal make it to the final, would you prefer to face Shanghai SIPG or Urawa Red Diamonds?

A: Shanghai SIPG are very strong in attack. I would prefer Urawa Red Diamonds.

Q: Keeping the 4-0 first leg advantage in mind, how should Al Hilal coach approach this game?

A: We have to play to win this leg too, so we should go with an attacking mentality and try to score.

Q: Who will be the key player for Al Hilal on Tuesday?

A: Carlos Eduardo and Omar Kharbin. Both are very important

Pejman, Persepolis Fan

Q: Are you still holding hope of a comeback in the second leg?

A: It is very difficult but we have seen Guangzhou Evergrande come back from 4-0 down against Shanghai SIPG in the quarter-final. So it’s possible. We need to believe.

Q: What do Persepolis have to do to get back into the game?

A: We need to show our character and score an early goal, it will shake their confidence. If we can get to half time 2-0 up, the pressure will be on them.

Q: What is your prediction for the second leg result?

A: I am not overtly optimistic. I think we will win this leg, but only 2-1.

Q: Who will be the key player for Persepolis on Tuesday?

A: Vahid Amiri and Farshad Ahmedzadeh.
