Aduana Stars captain Emmanuel Akuoko wants his Aduana Stars side to resume their Ghana Premier League campaign with victory over Liberty Professionals at the Agyeman-Badu Park in Dormaa Ahenkro.

The Fire club are eyeing revenge against the Scientific Soccer Lads who defeated them 1-0 in the reverse fixture in late April at the Alhaji Sly Tetteh Memorial Park.

Akuoko, a member of Ghana's Local Black Stars squad, says Kwabena Ameyaw's men need the maximum points from the tie to close the points gap at the top.

"[What we need is win to close [the] points," he posted on his Facebook timeline.

Aduana Stars are third on the Ghana Premier League log and are four points shy of leaders AshantiGold's 29.

But are on level point-terms with second-placed WAFA who are away to Wa All Stars in the Upper West Region of Ghana.
