Ademola Lookman is on track to make his return to Atalanta before the end of February after recovering from a knee injury, Nigeriasoccernet.com can report.
The Nigerian winger picked up the setback ahead of Atalanta’s UEFA Champions League clash with Barcelona last month and has since missed three matches across all competitions.
Lookman’s Expected Return Date
According to Transfermarkt, Lookman is likely to be available for Atalanta’s Serie A clash against Empoli on February 23. However, he will miss both legs of Atalanta’s Champions League last-16 tie against Club Brugge, with the first leg set for January 12 in Belgium and the return leg a week later at the Gewiss Stadium.
Lookman’s Season So Far
The 27-year-old has been in outstanding form this season, registering 14 goals and seven assists in 27 appearances across all competitions. His return will be a huge boost for Gian Piero Gasperini’s side as they push for a top-four finish in Serie A and continue their European campaign.
