Ademola Lookman scores, assist, lead Atalanta to Coppa Italia final

Nigeria Super Eagles forward, Ademola Lookman came off the bench to score one and assist another, as Atalanta reach the Coppa Italia final with a [4-2] aggregate victory over Fiorentina on Wednesday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The decisive goal by Ademola Lookman in stoppage time was initially ruled offside. Then the goal was awarded following a VAR review.

Teun Koopmeiners opened score for the hosts who dominated proceedings as they led 1-0 at the end of the first half.

Nikola Milenkovic sent off  in the 54th minute of the game for a foul on Gianluca Scamacca.

Despite the numerical advantage, it Lucas Martinez Quarta who scored for Fiorentina on 68 minute to keep score at 1-1.

Scamacca whose goal was disallowed early in the first half for a foul on Beltran in the build-up restored the lead on 75 minute to put the aggregate at two-all.

With the aggregate score level at 2-2 and extra time looming in Bergamo, substitute Lookman finished superbly with his left foot to put Atalanta within reach of the final, after a lengthy video assistant referee check for offside 4 minutes into additional time.

Mario Pasalic completed a 4-1 for The Goddess 4 minutes later after a through pass from Lookman saw him calmly put the ball pass the oncoming Pietro Terracciano.
