Ghana goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey suffered defeat on his Portland Timbers after his side went down 1-0 against Cascadia-rival Vancouver Whitecaps FC in the 2015 Simple Invitational tournament.

The Ghanaian international lasted the entire duration of the game as they lost the game at the Providence Park.

Kwarasey was thrown into the hat after recovering from a hip injury suffered since he joined the side from Strømsgodset.

Compatriot Gershon Koffie was a second half substitute for WhiteCaps replacing Matias Laba.

Kwarasey will next face his Black Stars teammate David Accam on Wednesday as Portland Timbers clash with Chicago Fire.
