Abubakar Bukola Saraki, ABS Football Club Coach, Jerome Igbankwe has resolved to return the club which is in the NNL to tip flight Nigerian football, Nigeriasoccernet.com report.

Igbankwe took over from Cameroonian gaffer Tony Encho who moved to Crown FC of Ogbomoso last season and tried to restore stability to the Kwara State base team.

The last time the club featured in the Nigeria Premier Football the was in 2017 when they got relegated and Igbankwe wants to change that narrative this time when the Nigeria National League will resume in March.

"Our target last year was to get promotion but we had a little challenge mid-season whereby three of our players left. This were our top scorers in the league at that particular time, now preparing others to meet up was abit tasking that was why we had that bleak last season”, He said to Journalists after their training on Monday.

He stated that they are everything possible to ensure they have a better experience this time.

“This season with the past experience I have to put myself together to ensure that what happened last time doesn’t occur again. We are working to ensure we have dept in the squad to see that we succeed this season not matter who leaves.

“So far we are working taking steps to replace some of the key players of who have left the club during the transfer window. We’ve gone far with our program, we’ve invited some players and some came in for trials. By the end of this week we will have a good team to prepare for the league proper”. He concluded.
