Super Eagles midfielder, Paul Onobi, striker Dele Olorundare and goalkeeper Moses Ocheje have been released by NPFL side, Abia Warriors, under mutual consent.
Onobi, a Super Eagles midfielder who joined Abia Warriors from KuPS of Finland, has failed to keep pace with the NPFL rigours since his arrival.
Ocheje’s departure paved way for the arrival of former youth international goalkeeper Joshua Enaholo, who stood between the sticks for the Flying Eagles at the New Zealand FIFA U20 World Cup in 2015.
Similarly, striker Dele Olorundare has moved to El-Kanemi Warriors also on mutual agreement with Abia Warriors hierarchy.
The former Sunshine Stars forward, who had a loan spell in Turkey with TKI Tavsanli Linyitspor, failed to impress since arriving the Umuahia side this season.
Seun Olulayo has also rejoined his former club Sunshine Stars after an uneventful half season at Abia Warriors.
“No doubt Paul Onobi, Dele Olorundare, Moses Ocheje and Seun Olulayo have left but it was all based on mutual consent with the management”, confirms an official of Abia Warriors.
“We wish them the best in their next career destination”, the official added.
