2026 WCQ: Aina urges Nigerians to rally behind Super Eagles

Nigerian defender Ola Aina has called on Nigerians to rally behind the Super Eagles ahead of their crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and South Africa, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Aina emphasized the importance of continued support from the fans as the team seeks to secure a spot in the World Cup.

The Super Eagles currently sit fourth in Group C with seven points from six matches, trailing behind leaders South Africa, who have 13 points.

Aina's message comes as the team prepares to face Rwanda on Saturday and South Africa three days later.

"A message to Nigerians is that, you know, we know it’s a tough task ahead of us, but we are ready for the challenge. So keep believing and supporting....”Aina said.

Aina has been optimistic about Nigeria's chances of qualifying for the World Cup, previously stating that the team will make it to the tournament.

He believes that with the right support, the Super Eagles can overcome their current challenges and achieve their goal.
