Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has been shortlisted for the prestigious 2025 CAF Men's Player of the Year award, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The Galatasaray forward won the award in 2023 and is now vying for the top prize again.
Osimhen will face stiff competition from nine other talented players, including Mohamed Salah of Egypt, Achraf Hakimi of Morocco, and Serhou Guirassy of Guinea.
The other nominees are Frank Anguissa (Cameroon), Fiston Mayele (DR Congo), Denis Bouanga (Gabon), Pape Matar Sarr (Senegal), Iliman Ndiaye (Senegal) and Oussama Lamlouhi (Morocco)

Atalanta winger Ademola Lookman, who won the award last year, did not make the cut for this year's nomination.
Osimhen's impressive form this season, with 37 goals and seven assists in 41 matches, makes him a strong contender for the award.
