Flying Eagles captain, Daniel Bameyi has been named in the Team of the Tournament for the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Bameyi featured in all six of Nigeria's games in Egypt, scoring one goal.
The 19-year-old's recognition adds to his accolades, having been included in the Team of the Group stage earlier in the tournament.
South Africa and Morocco dominated the team selection with four players each.

Sierra Leone's top scorer, Momoh Kamara, and Egypt's Mohamed Goweily also made the team. South Africa's Raymond Mdaka was named Coach of the Tournament.
