2023/24 NNL - Abia Comets FC appoint Tony Ogharanduku as Technical Adviser

Abia Comets Football Club of Umuahia, has made a managerial change with the appointment of Tony Ogharanduku as the new Technical Director /Technical Adviser of the club, Nigeriasoccernet.com can confirm.

With the appointment of coach Ogaranuku as the Technical Director /Technical Adviser of the club, the position of Kevin Ejeh who has only won 1 out of 5 matches as the head coach is now hanging in the balance.

The chairman of the club, Chief Boniface Alozie Uche while introducing the new technical adviser said that Tony Ogharanduku is the right man to take Abia Comets out of the situation they are currently because of his experience and knowledge of the game.

Ogharanduku, while speaking with Abia Comets FC Media after the completion and signing of his contract revealed that he is going to join  forces with everyone at the club to take Abia Comets out of the current situation promising that the team will produce good performances under his watch.

"I want to use this medium to thank the chairman, Chief Boniface Alozie Uche, and everyone working with Abia Comets, who are presently here", Ogharanduku said.

"I strongly believe that we are going to work harder to get ourselves out of the situation we are presently".

"Yes, I also believe that everyone has a lot to play in helping, improving and supporting the team for us to get out of the drop zone. So that is what we are going to do to improve the team moving forward", he concluded.

Tony Ogharanduku during his professional football career played for the likes of Plateau United, New Jets of Jos, Rangers International and Wikki Toursist.

The Delta State-born technical adviser, who has a CAF B coaching Licence previously coached teams like Mighty Jets of Jos, Mees Palace Football Academy, Wikki Toursist as a player/ Coach, also coached in Enyimba International, FC Taraba and Giwa FC.

Ogharanduku will take charge of the team in his first training session tomorrow as they continue preparation ahead of this week Matchday 6 encounter away against Abeokuta Stormers on Friday in Ijebu Ode.
