2017 AFCON: Ghana coach demands attractive football despite concerns about Amahoro Stadium pitch

Ghana coach Avram Grant wants his players to maintain their fluid style of play despite the challenge of a poor playing surface in Rwanda.

The Black Stars are away to Rwanda in the second round of the 2017 AFCON qualifiers on Saturday.

Ghana will be hoping to maintain their winning start to the qualifying campaign but must do so on a poor playing surface in Kigali.

The poor state of the pitch at the Amahoro Stadium threatens to scupper Ghana's fluid attacking style of play.

But coach Avram Grant believes his side will be able to adjust and exert their style of play on the poor surface.

"I agree with the coach of Rwanda and even the local media are reporting about the poor state of the pitch," he said.

"But we will try to play our football. We will not hit long balls like any team would on this pitch."
