World Cup preparation: Nigeria Flying Eagles fix two friendlies for Abuja

The Flying Eagles of Nigeria will be playing two friendly matches this week in preparation for the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Nigeria U-20 resumed training barely a month after finishing third at 2023 Africa U-20 Championship which secured them a spot at the World Cup in Argentina.

This will be the first friendly since they return to camp even though the friendlies will be against academies.

The test games which will be played at the FIFA Goal Project Pitch, Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja is slated for Friday and Saturday.

Meanwhile, all the invited foreign-based players are expected to start arriving at the team’s camp from this week.

Ladan Bosso’s side will face Five-time winners Brazil, Italy and Dominican Republic in Group D at the World Cup in Argentina.
