West Ham First Club To Offer For Onyekuru

West Ham are the first and only club to make a formal bid for Nigerian striker Henry Onyekuru.

Nigerian news outlet nigeriasoccernet.com report that a ‘top official’ from his club KAS Eupen has stated that the Hammers are the only side to table a bid for the youngster.

Onyekuru has lit up the Belgian league recently – finishing joint top scorer in the past campaign at just 19-years-old. He has been heavily linked with a move to fellow London club Arsenal, and a fee was understood to have be agreed, but it appears the deal fell through.

West Ham are now said to be the front-runners in the race to sign the forward, but teams such as Newcastle and Swansea City are claimed to hold an interest in the KAS Eupen man too.

Onyekuru is capable on both sides of an attacking trident and most naturally in the centre – a player that would certainly be welcome at the London Stadium as Slaven Bilic’s side aim to build on last season’s disappointing 11th place finish.
