West Brom’s Bid For Ibe Rejected By Liverpool

West Bromwich Albion has seen their bid for Liverpool youngster Jordon Ibe rejected as the Anfield side insists he is a huge part of their future.

The 20-year-old who is eligible to represent both Nigeria and England on the international stage broke into the Reds side two seasons ago under former manager Brendan Rodgers and won the Man-of-the-Match award in the Merseyside derby against Everton in a remarkable campaign on an individual level.

However, he made just 12 Premier League starts for the Liverpool last season as new manager Jurgen Klopp preferred Adam Lallana and Philippe Coutinho to provide width to the side.

According to The Mirror, Baggies manager Tony Pulis is hoping to land Ibe as a replacement for Saido Berahino, who is expected to leave the Hawthorns this summer.

A major stumbling block is the unwillingness of Klopp to sell the player but would prefer loaning him out in order to give him more regular first-team experience.

Ibe has scored just one Premier League goal for Liverpool so far and coincidentally it came against West Brom on the final day of the 2015-16 season.
