"?West Bromwich Albion have announced that, in the buildup to their final Premier League fixture of the season against Liverpool on Sunday, the club will honour the 96 victims of the Hillsborough disaster by leaving 96 red seats empty, according to their "?official website.
Last month, the families of the 96 victims of the disaster saw their 27-year wait for justice finally come to an end after a two-year inquest, when a jury ruled that their loved ones were 'unlawfully killed' and should be exonerated of any wrongdoing.
Subsequent to the ruling, Premier League clubs have paid tribute to those families during games, and now the Baggies can add their name to the list of tributes.
The Midlands club confirmed in a statement on their official website that they will show "solidarity" by replacing "96 blue seats in the visiting fans section with the red of Liverpool, each to remain unoccupied and each to carry a name of one of the victims."
The club have also produced a video which will be played shortly before kick-off on Sunday.
Baggies captain Darren Fletcher and Liverpool-born striker Rickie Lambert will complete the salute by laying a floral tribute in front of the Liverpool fans following the introduction of the teams.
A statement read: "West Bromwich Albion will on Sunday honour their pledge to salute the courage and tenacity of the Hillsborough victims' families."
