We Will Win Our Next Five Matches, Rohr Assures Fans Of Super Eagles

Coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria Gernot Rohr has assured fans of the senior national team of Nigeria that the defeat suffered by the team is just a one off.

Rohr lost for the first time as coach of the Super Eagles when his team suffered a 0-2 loss to South Africa in the AFCON 2019 Qualifiers decided at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo on Saturday.

The coach however assured fans of the team in an interview in Abuja reported by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) insisting the loss was caused by the crop of players he fielded, who in his words were not his best legs.

He said, “South Africa met an inexperienced and younger Eagles, that is why they won the match.

“We did not play with our main team, many of our experienced players were not in the match mainly due to injury, but they will be ready for Cameroun.”

The Technical Adviser, who assured Nigerians of victory in the next five matches, sued for total support for the Eagles.

He said that all hands were on deck to ensure that victory was achieved in the August 28 World Cup campaign against Cameroun.
