Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) striker, Ifegwu Ojukwu has said victory against El Kanemi Warriors will secure the side Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) status quo.

The Oluyole Warriors will be the guests of the Maiduguri Warriors in the weekend NPFL matchday 31 clash at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan.

The Ibadan warlords lost 0-2 to El Kanemi Warriors in the first fixture clash decided at the Maiduguri Township Stadium.

Ojukwu said his side are well motivated to go for the whole three points at stake against the Maiduguri outfit by the hard fought score draw at bottom-placed side, Ikorodu United in Lagos.

“Of course, we are boosted by the hard fought 1-1 draw at Ikorodu United to go for the maximum points against visiting El Kanemi Warriors.

“Victory against El Kanemi Warriors will make us comfortable on the log as well as secure our NPFL status quo in the on-going season.

“We are not going to guess work with the golden opportunity so we will not settle for draw but outright victory.

“El Kanemi Warriors are difficult side and sure to come fighting but we will turn them back empty-handed.

“I will equally like to register my first goal for 3SC in the clash and I’m certain to celebrate to high heaven,” said the former Ikorodu United marksman to supersport.com.

Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) are 16th on the Nigerian top-flight on 36 points 12 adrift league leaders, Enugu Rangers though the point at Ikorodu United is not yet given.
