Update: Nwabali won't return to Chippa United - Sean Louw

Chippa United goalkeeper coach, Sean Louw did not see Nigeria number one, Stanley Nwabali remaining at the club next season, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Nwabali since his heroics at the 2023 African Cup of Nations earlier this year, has been one of the most sort after goalkeeper.

While he played a crucial role in Nigeria’s Super Eagles first runners up finish, he also took his club to the semi-final of the Nedback Cup keeping a total of 12 clean sheets in all competitions.

Louw discussing the growth and the future of the Nigeria international revealed Nwabali “is definitely not coming back to Chippa.”

“On physical hard copy paper, I don’t know how many offers he has received, but verbally, he has around 10 or even 12 offers. He is definitely not coming back to Chippa next season,” Louw told FarPost.

“When [Nwabali] arrived at Chippa, he wasn’t very proficient with his footwork, unable to play from the back. However, he has improved his footwork significantly.”

The 27 year-old has been on the radial of clubs in the Saudi Pro League including Al- Etiffaq, Championship Club, Queen Park Rangers and  South African giants, Kaizer Chiefs.
