Nigerian striker, Anthony Ujah, was in action for his club Liaoning Hongyun but could not prevent them from losing 2-1 at home to Tianjin Quanjian in the Chinese Super League early Saturday morning, Nigerian time, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Ujah featured for 90 minutes in the game for Liaoning Hongyun.
Tianjin Quanjian went 1-0 up in the 24th minute through Xingcan Li.
On the stroke of halftime, former AC Milan, Chelsea and Brazil forward Alexander Pato made it 2-0 for Tianjin Quanjian.
In the 55th minute Yanjun Zhang pulled a goal back for Liaoning Hongyun but Tianjin Quanjian held in to claim the win.
The defeat leaves Liaoning Hongyun on 11th on 13 points in the 16-team CSL table.
Ujah has now played 11 league games for Liaoning Hongyun this season, scoring four goals.
