Enyimba captain Chinedu Udoji has promised the club's fans they will maintain a high level of consistency in continental competition.
Udoji led Enyimba to their seven Nigeria Professional Football League title recently, which earned them a place in the upcoming CAF Champions League, and the skipper has pledged to maintain a similar level of performance on the continent.
"We have been very consistent from last season and we are resting at the moment, we want to take this form and concentration to the continent," he told News24.
"The expectations are very high and I'm promising our fans that we shall maintain this form and show deep consistency on the continent next season."
A Nigerian club hasn't made it beyond the group stage of any continental tournament since 2012, but Udoji believes it will be different for Enyimba.
"The past remains in the past and right now we are looking into the future. It's sad that no Nigerian club has played in the group stage since 2012 but like I said earlier we are looking into the future with so much optimism.
That's why a preparation template has been set out. We shall make Nigeria proud, that I promise," he concluded.
