Former Super Eagles midfielder Raheem Lawal has been rendered clubless after relegated Turkish side Osmanlispor decided against extending his contract at the club.

Lawal’s contract with the Super lig outfit ended at the end of last season, where they suffered relegation to the second division and the club decided against keeping him as they aim to bounce back to the top league.

Last season, injuries and fitness issues restricted Lawal to just 17 games in the league, three less than the total appearance he made the previous season, where he played on loan at Kayserispor from January.

He is widely expected to remain in Turkey, where he has been playing since 2012, when he moved to then second division outfit Adana Demirspor from Spain’s Segunda outfit Atletico Baleares.

The 28 year old who has six senior national team caps to his name for Nigeria last played for the Super Eagles in a friendly game against Luxembourg on the 31st of May 2016
