Acrobatics, dramatic injury-time winners and messages from the president - Turkey's free-scoring amputee side are "making the country proud".
As the senior men's team's World Cup dreams crumbled, their compatriots were storming their way to the European Amputee Football Championships title.
Having scored 25 goals en route to the final, the hosts beat England 2-1 in front of 40,000 spectators in Istanbul.
That was nearly 9,000 more than watched Turkey's home World Cup qualifiers.
Turkey have suffered a disappointing campaign and their hopes of making Russia 2018 were ended with a game to spare by Iceland.
But spectators are almost guaranteed goals when it comes to the European Amputee champions, with Turkey beating Germany 8-0, Georgia 9-0, Spain 4-0, Russia 2-1 and Poland 2-0 to reach the final.
"Turkey is proud of you," said President Recep Tayyip Erdogan as he offered "hearty congratulations" to the side on social media.
Fittingly, it was captain Osman Cakmak who proved the hero with an injury-time winner moments after England's Ray Westbrook had levelled in the last minute of normal time - with games lasting 50 minutes.
Omer Guleryuz had given Turkey a first-half lead.
Turkey were second at the EAFF European Championship in 2004 and 2008, and third at the World Championship in 2007.
