Tug-of-war! NFF To Lure Everton star Ademola Lookman To Snub England

Nigeria are stepping up their attempts to prise Ademola Lookman away from England.

Forward Lookman, 19, is at the centre of a tug-of-war after making an instant impact since his £11m January move to Everton .

London-born Lookman has played for England's under-19s and 20s but is now wanted by Nigeria, who he is also eligible for through his parents.

Lookman's representatives held talks with the Nigerian Football Federation officials last week about his international future.

And Nigeria boss Gernot Rohr is now planning to travel to England to try and persuade Lookman to switch allegiance.

Rohr wants to move quickly and has earmarked Lookman for a place in his squad for Nigeria's friendly against Senegal next month.

Lookman has been involved in Everton's last five games since his big-money move from Charlton.

He scored minutes after coming on for his debut against Manchester City and forced his way into Ronald Koeman's starting XI for the Toffees' last two games.
