Italian Serie B side FC Crotone are angling themselves to beat French Ligue 1 side OGC Nice to the signature of talented Ghanaian defender Isaac Donkor who is under contract with Inter Milan.

Inter are ready to allow the 19-year-old leave the Giuseppe Meazza but want to partial ownership of the versatile youngster with a loan option also opened.

The Nerazzurris have reportedly received a bid from Crotone who just survived relegation from the Italian second-tier last season.

The Squali are prepared to fence off competition from Ligue 1 outfit Nice who were rumoured to be interested in signing the defender.

Nice were also mentioned to be interested in taking Donkor on loan - that is if Inter refuse to sell him on permanent basis.

But Crotone's thirst for Serie A promotion next season is pushing them to bring in new players with big prospects and have identified the Ghanaian youngster whose signature they will make an attempt to capture in the coming weeks.
