Tim Howard Pens Heartfelt Tribute to Everton Fans

Published on: 14 May 2016

"?Tim Howard waved an emotional farewell to Everton on Sunday in anticipation of packing up his bags and returning to the United States of America in the summer.

The veteran goalkeeper has spent 10 years at Goodison Park, but a few months ago he revealed he will end his career in the MLS with Colorado Rapids.

Howard has been a reliable servant for the Toffees ever since he joined them from Manchester United back in 2006 and he took to social media to pen a heartfelt message to his team-mates and the club's loyal legion of supporters.

"?"?The 37-year-old made 414 appearances for Everton and he will always be fondly remembered for his incredible exploits between the sticks.

Howard managed to keep a clean sheet in his final game for the Merseyside giants as strikes from James McCarthy, Kevin Mirallas and Leighton Baines helped to lift the gloom following Roberto Martinez's midweek departure.

41% - Tim Howard has kept 41% of Everton's total clean sheets in Premier League history. Handy.

The 3-0 victory means that they finish the season in 11th place and they will look to rebuild in the summer.
