The Super Eagles of Nigeria will don their new all deep-green shirt in their tonight’s first 2018 FIFA World Cup Group D match against Croatia at the the Kaliningrad Stadium.

The Super Eagles first wore the new away jersey designed by Nike when they crashed with Poland in a pre-World Cup international friendly match on March 23 2018.

Nigeria won that friendly clash 1-0 through a Victor Moses 61st minute penalty goal in front of 4,208 fans that graced the Stadion Miejski in Wroclaw.

The Nigerian team’s home jersey is a classy design – a combination of black and white zig-zag on green, which add to the full Nike kits that make the Eagles a very fashionable team in Russia.

The young Super Eagles are looking to confront Croatia with self-belief and get back to winning ways on the big occasion after a mixed results in their buildup to the 2018 World Cup finals in Russia.

The Gernot Rohr’s team beat Argentina 4-2 in Russia last November, then also overcame Poland 1-0 in Wroclaw on March 23. And those were followed by poor results in their final buildup to the World Cup.

The Eagles lost 2-0 to Serbia on March 27 in London, drew 1-1 with DR Congo in a farewell match in front of their home fans at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium Port Harcourt on May 28.

The team lost 2-1 to England on June 2 in Wembley and 1-0 to Czech Republic in Austria before arriving in Russia for the World Cup finals.
