Super Eagles – Libya Clash To be Stage in Kaduna

Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match between Nigeria’s Super Eagles and Libya will hold at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium Kaduna according to reports close to the NFF.

This is contrary to reports that Super Eagles coach Genot Rorh had rejected the stadium on the premise that the venue is too small to host the crowd pulling national team.

“I want to inform you that there is no issue about the venue for our match against Libya because we have decided to play at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium Kaduna. Coach Rohr is satisfied with the facilities he inspected and he did not reject it as reported,” a reliable source at the NFF told CSN.

“We have informed CAF that the venue of the match with Libya will be Kaduna and we are not going back on that.

“What ever flaws observed during the inspection of the stadium will be put in place before the end of the month.”

Libya current top the Group E of the 2019 AFCON qualifiers with four points after two rounds of games. They are ahead of South Africa who also have four points on goal difference. Nigeria occupy the third position on four points, while Seychelles bring up the rear without any point.
