Super Eagles drop in latest FIFA world rankings

Nigeria’s Super Eagles has dropped to the 51st spot in the World football governing body, FIFA, monthly ranking.

The three-time African champions got 640 points to drop one place in current ranking.

The Nigerian side is also trailing Senegal, Tunisia, Egypt, Congo, Morocco, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Ghana on the continent.

With a couple of friendlies before the Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup, Nigeria is expected to improve on the log.

Germany however remain at the summit of a static top 10, while Iceland (20, up 2) are the only team to enter the top 20, with the Netherlands (21, down 1) dropping out

Croatia (15th, up 2) also made some ground, and there were more substantial rises further down the order.

Tunisia (23rd, up 4), for example, built on the gains made during their successful FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign, while Kuwait (174, up 15), Sudan (124, up 12), and El Salvador (90, up 10) all registered double-digit jumps.

The next FIFA World Ranking is slated for February 15, 2018
