Anorthosis Famagusta plan to sell Nigeria international Abdullahi Shehu for 200,000 euros (N81 million) this summer, allnigeriasoccer.com has been informed.

Newly promoted Turkish Super Lig team Göztepe are genuinely interested in the signature of the versatile midfielder but face competition from clubs based in the Middle East.

Shehu has verbally handed in a transfer request to the Cypriot club in order to engineer a move to Göztepe.

The former Kano Pillars star has already agreed personal terms with the Turkish club, who are hoping to close the deal after the Eid al-Fitr holidays.

The 24-year-old featured for Qadsia and União da Madeira before his move to Anorthosis Famagusta.
