Super Eagles and Mainz 05 defender Leon Balogun has been included in the German Bundesliga Team of the Week.
The Team of the Week was released by football facts and statistics website whoscored.comon Tuesday.
Balogun’s inclusion was as a result of his impressive performance for Mainz in their 1-1 away draw against Cologne in
the league on Saturday.
Balogun is placed in the left side of central defence of a four-man backline in a 4-4-2 formation in the Team of the Week. He is given a score of 7.8 over 10.
Other top players who made the Team of the Week are Bayern Munich trio Arjen Robben, Joshua Kimmich and James Rodriguez.
The games was Balogun’s 13th league appearance for Mainz so far this season.
Mainz are currently 16th, in the relegation play-off spot, on 27 points in the 18-team league table.
