Coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria Gernot Rohr is in Germany where he will be expected to watch Mainz 05 Nigerian striker Anthony Ujah ahead of a possible invitation to the Super Eagles.

Ujah last played for Nigeria in 2013, but he could be in line for a recall if he impresses coach Rohr who will watch him at close quarters later tonight.

Rohr is still searching for more options upfront and Ujah is among the players he has penciled down for further assessment following his return to Europe after an 18 months spell in China.

27 year old Ujah is back at Mainz 05 for a second spell after his first stint in the 2011/2012 season, where he scored twice from 12 Bundesliga game before dropping a level down to join then second division side FC Cologne.

Later tonight he is expected to be in the Mainz 05 team for their game against Hertha Berlin, and a strong performance could earn him a spot in the Nigerian squad for their pre World Cup friendly games against Serbia and Poland.
