Sulley Muntari to quit AC Milan this summer for a move to the MLS - reports
Sulley Muntari has struggled this season in Milan

Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari will join an unnamed MLS side from AC Milan at the end of the season, according to fast circulating reports in Italy.

The 30-year-old was earlier reported to be on his way to joining MLS franchise expansion side Los Angeles FC alongside his former Milan teammate Kevin-Prince Boateng at the end of their respective contracts in 2017.

Fresh reports swelling in Italy however suggests the former Udinese man will make the move this summer with a year left to run on his existing Milan deal.

Fiorentina was thought to be interested but Muntari’s dip in form – having made just 12 starts this term for the Rossoneri appears to have put them off.

LA FC will however need to loan out Muntari if they manage to land him this summer – as it was with the case of David Villa’s move to New York City – until their MLS expansion takes effect in 2017.
